Who Needs a Wireless Security Assessment?

If your company has deployed a wireless network architecture you should consider regular wireless security assessment as part of your overall network assessment strategy.
Companies that are not sure if employees or vendors have installed wireless components attached to their internal networks.
Companies that use standard or default workstation configurations that typically include wireless networking active with wireless hardware installed.
Companies that employ the use of laptops or mobile computing devices to be connected to internal network.

What is Wireless Security Assessment?

A Wireless Security Assessment provides a comprehensive review of your wireless network architecture. The Wireless Security Assessment also identifies rogue wireless devices that are attached to your network if your company policy does not allow wireless networking. During the course of this assessment an Arsenal Security consultant will perform a wireless discovery internally and externally to determine the presence of networking devices broadcasting connectivity. Review of management controls and processes implemented to ensure effective protection and safeguards are in place.

Components included in wireless security assessment are:

Comprehensive wireless architecture review
Scanning for rogue wireless devices
Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
Wireless scanning internal and external for each designated facility
Wireless access point configuration analysis
Management controls review
Detailed findings and recommendation reporting

Wireless Security Assessment Engagement Process and Deliverables

After an initial call, the Arsenal Security Group Senior Partner will prepare a statement of work within 2 days and we normally can begin an engagement within two weeks. During the engagement we will use interviews, questionnaires, physical tours and technical tools to develop our assessment. We usually use 1-2 consultants in tandem with our Senior Partner to complete an engagement. We will provide an executive summary, a detailed report with all of our findings and recommendations, and a final onsite presentation. Our engagement is not complete until all of our deliverables have been reviewed and accepted by our client.

About Arsenal Security Group
Arsenal Security Group is a security consulting firm that is focused on close client coordination and collaboration. From the initial meeting through the final presentation, one of Arsenal Security Group’s Senior Partners will be the primary contact for all engagement activities. We proactively conduct weekly calls with our client when engaged and meet with clients on a quarterly basis to review and understand their security posture – even when we are not actively engaged on assignment to ensure they are aware of new security risks or regulatory changes they may impact their business.
